Certified in New York both as a General Real Estate Appraiser and a Real Estate Broker, James J. O'Keefe is the Prinicipal of NY Real Estate Appraisals. Mr. O'Keefe has been actively engaged in leasing, mortgaging, buying, selling and, of course, appraising real estate in New York for over forty years. In recognition of his real estate acumen, he has been admitted as an expert witness before the Westchester County Supreme Court.

Education, Teaching.
James O'Keefe was graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelors in Business, and did graduate work in real estate at New York University and at the Pohs Institute of Real Estate. Mr. O'Keefe, who has taught real estate for the BOCES program in Yorktown Heights and Carmel, at Fordham's Institute of Real Estate, and at Seton Hall, completed accreditation training with the New York State Society of Real Estate Appraisers and with the Westchester County Society of Real Estate Appraisers, of which he is a past President.

Business Experience.
Before establishing his own business, Mr. O'Keefe was a broker for Aries Neidich Associates (now Aries Deitch & Endelson, Inc.), a major Westchester real estate company. He subsequently formed O'Keefe & Eisenberg, Inc., a brokerage dealing in both commercial and residential real estate sales and leasing throughout the New York metropolitan area. He continued this work with his own O'Keefe Organization, established in 1986.

Community Service.
Active in community affairs, he has served as President of the Board of Education, the Chamber of Commerce, and the United Way all in Yonkers. He has also served on the Business and Development Board of the Hudson Valley Bank, on the Boards of Assessment Review in Yonkers and Somers, and as a trustee of St. John's Riverside Hospital.
